Welsh Secondary Schools Championships

Daniel O’Connell and Charlotte Carey became Welsh Secondary Schools Champions yesterday at an event help in Barry.

Daniel overcame Ashley Stavrakis in the Semi final 3,1,5 while the Lancey brothers played the other semi with Mathew finally beating Sean 8, -9, 8, -5, 9. The final saw Daniel winning 10, 9, 7

Charlotte beat Megan Phillips -9,-5, 5, 7, 9 in one semi while Nicole Hall won the other semi beating Hannah Avery 5, 8,-5,-7, 7. Charlotte won the final 6,9,6

Team Championships of Wales

Gareth Evans has had to give up running the Team Championships of Wales due to personal reasons. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gareth for his sterling work over many years

The Table Tennis Association of Wales Ltd. is looking for volunteers to help run this event, there are three options.
a) To take over the whole event, booking halls, sending out entry form to the Leagues and Clubs, be present on the day to each Senior, Junior and Vets event a total of 12 days.
b) To run all or one of the match days a total of 12 days or take one section on and that will be a four day commitment.

Due to the retirment of our National Coach, Alan Griffiths, The Table Tennis Association of Wales Ltd. is looking to appoint a National Coaching Manager based in Cardiff. Details and job description attached.
