There was no Gold medals coming back over the bridge this year from the senior Home Nations, but there was fight, attitude and sweat.
Wales women lost out to Ireland 2-3 with Amanda Mogey taking both her singles against Chloe and Charlotte. There was more disapointment for the ladies against England with both Angharad and Charlotte losing out to Hannah Hicks but beating Emily Bates. The doubles went the way of England to seal their victory. Wales earlier beat Guernsey 3-0 and later Isle of Man 3-0 to finish 3rd.
Wales girls are on course for the title with a nice 3-1 win against Scotland last night. Chloe Thomas won both her singles. However, the men's team lost out to the Scottish men 1-3 with Ryan Jenking beating Craig Howieson 3-1 but Ryan Owen losing out in 2 close encounters. Today sees the conclusion of all team matches against Guernsey, Ireland, Isle of Man and finally England.
