Tutor Qualified

Aled Howells was assessed on Sunday as part of achieving the Certificate in Tutoring Sport.
 
He was classed as competent in all areas, and so should soon be receiving his CTS certificate.

Dragon Report 20th November 2011

A record entry of 61 young players battled in the main hall for the 6 trophies on offer in the second Dragon of the season.

The record entry caused a few problems for the organisers who will have to limit entries for the next Dragon to be held on the 18th of December, so get your entries off early to be sure of a place.

Sport Wales Coach of The Year Awards 2011

Congratulations to Ryan Jenkins on winning the Coach developer award at the Sport Wales coach of the Year ceremony last Wednesday

Swiss Open

Naomi Owen lost out to Zhinqui Bartel (Germany ranked 65 in the world) a close 3-4 with a slender lead in the last set at 5-2. Then the German got back into the match and won it 11-7. Naomi did beat Charmot of Poland 4-1 in her last match.

Home Nations - Singles Day

There was no Gold medals coming back over the bridge this year from the senior Home Nations, but there was fight, attitude and sweat.

Home Nations - Team

Wales women lost out to Ireland 2-3 with Amanda Mogey taking both her singles against Chloe and Charlotte. There was more disapointment for the ladies against England with both Angharad and Charlotte losing out to Hannah Hicks but beating Emily Bates. The doubles went the way of England to seal their victory. Wales earlier beat Guernsey 3-0 and later Isle of Man 3-0 to finish 3rd.

Home Nations 2011

Wales girls are on course for the title with a nice 3-1 win against Scotland last night. Chloe Thomas won both her singles. However, the men's team lost out to the Scottish men 1-3 with Ryan Jenking beating Craig Howieson 3-1 but Ryan Owen losing out in 2 close encounters. Today sees the conclusion of all team matches against Guernsey, Ireland, Isle of Man and finally England.
