The competition, which gives the opportunity of the most coverage of British table tennis players, the Commonwealth Games start in Delhi on Monday 4 October and runs right through until the 14th. At the Yamuna Stadium in Delhi there are 2 show courts in the main arena surrounded by more than 3,000 seats and both tables are covered throughout the Championships. Play starts at 9.30am Delhi time each morning, which is 5.00am British Summer time and the final session on most days, except the finals, will finish around 5.00pm which is 12.30pm British Summer time.
The Commonwealth Games start on October the 4th with the men's and women's teams looking to progress to the Q-final stages. This of course depends on the draw which will take place on October 2nd.
All players and delegates are now settled into their accommodation block, which is of high standard despite local media reports on the Games.
Training at the Yamuna Sports Complex takes place from tomorrow onwards for our teams.

Jenkins brothers play a legend
For Wales it was the last day of competition, and one that was very healthy for development. With the girls in action in the morning’s play it was going to be a long day at the Cez arena in Ostrava. Naomi and Angharad unfortunately lost in the 5th set to a Luxembourg/Romanian combination. Chloe partnered Therese Andersen of Norway but they didn’t gel well enough to beat Turkey’s best doubles pairing.
The team events finally came to a close with both teams finishing with wins. After the women beat Azerbaijan 3-0 with all three girls winning it was then Ireland for 29th/30th.

Results have been far better for both teams as the competition progresses. The men were able to register their first win of the competition beating Switzerland 3-2. The Jenkins brothers combined to guarantee Wales remain in this division next time. Ryan won both his singles against Hotz (3-0) and Mohler (3-2) and Steve beat Hotz in the final match 3-2 to seal it.
The men's team, without Adam Robertson, has found it tough going. They lost 0-3 to a strong Slovakian side. The highlight of this match was Stephen Jenkins being 2-0 up against European top 50 player Thomas Keinath and 7-4 in the 5th but couldn't manage to close the match out. Ryan lost 11-9 in the 4th set to Bardon and Patrick lost to Sereda 0-3.
Naomi Owen finished 9th at the International Flanders tournament in Belgium over the weekend.
After reaching the Q-finals, she lost to Timina from Holland which meant it was back to the playoff matches where Naomi lost 1 and won 1 to finish 9th overall.
Stephen Jenkins lost in the semi finals of the Medway GP to Craig Bryant of Devon 2-3, who eventually won the Open. Patrick Thomas lost in the last 16 of the open and the semi finals of the band 1 also to Bryant.
