Group A
The shock of the group in the first round of matches saw Irish visitor Ryan Flood defeat Welsh number 4 Steve Gertsen 3-1. Ryan Jenkins remained undefeated throughout with Owen Clutterbuck being his toughest match. Josh Jenkins deserved better with 2 close losses to Owen and Flood 2-3. Flood looked odds on to secure 2nd spot in the group and get into the semis but lost his final match against Clutterbuck 3-1 and move backwards on count back. Gertsen progressed as runner up. Ceri James was very disappointed with his results and to add to his troubles he picked up an injury to end his day premature.

Group B
Chinese 'Wildcard' Yongbo Zhang took control of his group winning all 5 matches convincingly. Dan O'Connell beat team rival Patrick Thomas but then lost to Aled Howells. Aled lost a close one to Patrick which meant they were all tied. Dan progressed through as second. Patrick settled for 3rd with Aled 4th. Nick Brown wasn't at his best losing all his games. Dean Cundy lost some close encounters to finish up with 1 win from 5 and 5th in the group.

Knockout
With Ceri pulling out through injury (12th) Dean finished 11th. Dean lost to Josh 3-2, 9 in the 5th, Ceri lost to Nick 3-0. Josh went to to best Nick for 9/10th spot 3-1.
Aled beat Ryan Flood in their round 3-1 and Patrick beat Owen 3-2 (7 in the 5th). Patrick beat Aled 3-0 to finish 5th and Owen made it a double against Flood winning 3-0 and finishing 7th.
Semi Finals
Ryan beat Dan 3-0 in the first Semi and Yongbo had his hardest match of the day so far with a tight 3-1 win against Steve Gertsen 11, -8, 7, 8). Gerts squeezed past Dan in the 3rd/4th playoff -12, 6, -8, 2, 7 (3-2) which brings us to the final.
Ryan took charge and won the first 2 sets 11-4, 11-4. Yongbo retailiated with a 8-0 lead to win the 3rd 11-4 himself. Ryan bounced straight back to get into a 7-0 lead in the 4th and sepped over the finishing line 11-5.
