British Schools 2010 - Ireland [GOLD For Wales]

27th June, 2010

Wales have good results in Team Event

Charlotte Carey, Beth Roberts, Angharad Phillips and Chloe Thomas brought the Gold back home to Wales in the team competitions of the British Schools at Limerick.
Charlotte and Beth were playing in the U14 team competition and were undefeated as a team all tournament. They beat England 3-2 in the final. Charlotte remained the only player to have a 100% record throughout the team event.

Meanwhile across the hall, Chloe and Angharad were winners against a strong Guernsey U18 team winning the final 3-2. Both girls lost 2-3 to British team member Alice Loveridge but beat Paula Le Ber and combined to win the doubles. Having lost to that Guernsey team in the group stage it was sweet revenge.

Other great results came in the form of Lee Morgan and Conor Edwards (Silver) & Josh Jenkins and Lewis Williams (Bronze). Megan Phillips and Nicole Hall finished 4th losing the bronze medal match against England.
Singles events start tomorrow....
