Swansea and Greenhouse Win Regional Battle
The Greenhouse A and Swansea teams showed their strength by winning 4 out of 5 matches against the other regional Centre of Excellence teams, in a great night of competition at the Welsh institute of sport on Monday 29th of March. There were a total of 6 teams competing against each other, including Swansea, Cardiff, Greenhouse A and B, Gwent and North Wales. Time constraints meant the matches were played at a fast and furious pace.
Patrick Thomas, Charlotte Carey, Chloe Thomas, Lee Morgan, Josh Jenkins and Cameron Thomas all accompanied the national coach Ryan Jenkins and made the long journey last Friday to Harlow, Essex for the monthly super league.

German Open
The first rounds of matches were kind to Wales with 3 wins and 1 loss. Adam Robertson started the proceedings with a fine 4-3 win against Spanish/Chinese defender Wang Wei. Ryan Jenkins followed with another notable win against the Austrian youngster Plattner 4-1. Naomi continued the good results with a close 4-2 win against Molner of Serbia. After being 3-0 up and 10-8 things started to get edgy, but Naomi steadied the ship and made sure of the win. Patrick was unable to carry on the winning streak against the inform Steffan Mengel from Germany losing 0-4.
Angharad Phillips almost pushed all aside to claim the Derby Junior 4* event. In the Q-Final Angharad beat Emily Bates (England Number 2) after she withdrew and then went on to beat Tressa Armitage (England Number 13) in the semi final 3-0.
In the final, Angharad was very unlucky not to win the title losing 2-3, 11-9 in the 5th to England number 3 Lucy Davidson!!
Angharad is the second Welsh player this season to reach a final of a big junior 4 star open. Chloe Thomas reached the final of the East Midlands event in January.
Wales came away from Largs, Scotland with silver and 2 bronze medals at the 6 nations singles events.
Lewis Williams almost overturned a previous group stage loss against England's Igor Morais losing in a close 3-1 final. Lewis came from 0-2 down in his semi final against Jared Patel to win 3-2.
