A new club will start shortly in Swansea. I’m pleased to say we are ready to start this club on Thursday 24th February.
The venue is:
Craig y Nos School,
Clyne Common,
Bishopston,
Swansea
SA3 3JB
The school is on the main road from Mayals to Bishopston, on your left hand side just after the Nursing Home. You may pull into the school parking area via the gate at the front – very carefully of course! The gym we are using is situated at the rear of the school which you cannot miss when you park in the main parking area.
The Coaches
I am pleased to say we will have two Welsh International players to help coach the boys/girls that may attend – Andrew Jones and Ceri James.
Andrew has huge experience as a player and a coach and we are lucky to have him living in Mumbles and willing to help us. Andrew already coaches in local Primary schools and has coached many junior players to international standard.
Ceri also has international experience and has recently been taking a more active role in coaching in the Swansea Centre of Excellence and Penlan TT Club.
The boys are very lucky to have such talent available to coach them. We will also have a Table Tennis robot available for coaching.
The Objectives
Initially, the intention of this facility is to give the talented boys in the Swansea area another location and training facility to practise, practise, practise, to help them develop to their full potential and to go as far as their ability, commitment and determination will take them. However, we will also welcome new players and visitors to the Club depending how things progress. The big benefit of this facility is it is available earlier in the evening which may suit those boys or parents who may struggle with travelling to more distant venues to play/practise.
