Last Dragon Tournament of the season was played at WIS on Sunday 7th of February and organisers were pleased to see another strong entry, despite the Newport Junior Open being run just down the road. Indeed, the under 13 event was, as always full with 25 players contesting this age group alone.

First off were the under 11s event and girl power shone through, winner was Soffi Jenkins and runner up was Charlotte Slye, well done to them!
The Under 15s event again produced surprises, even though this is the 5th Dragon, no one has won the under 15 event more than once. There was also more new faces in the under 15s one of whom, Micky Moore finished 5th in this competitive age group, an excellent result for his first Dragon. Another mention has to go to Paul Joules, who has contested several Dragons and travels from FishGuard to take part. Paul has been showing steady improvement, and finished a creditable 7th place today.
Continuing his winning ways was Jac Jenkins, who despite being young enough to play in the under 11s, managed a win in the under 15s. Runner up was Cathays High School player Tom Goodall.
The under 13s event was played out in the afternoon, the group playing for places 1,2, and 3 consisted of the usual suspects in the shape of TTK trio, Dylan Lewis, Dylan Bruford, and Jac Jenkins.
Jac managed the double winning the under 13s, with Dylan Bruford finishing in runner up spot. A special mention to Soffi Jenkins, highest finishing girl in 8th.
