With three players competing in band 4 making it through to the next round it was always going to be hard, enjoyable work for them.
1st Dragon Tournament Report
The series of Dragon Tournaments got off to a tremendous start at WIS on Sunday 18th of October. The “Dragons” are as popular as ever with our young players, with no less than 59 entries received for this 1st Dragon of the season. Indeed tournament organisers had to turn away several players who tried to enter after the closing date, and whilst this did not sit well with the organisers, it was logistically impossible to accommodate any extra players in the Jubilee Hall.
There have been to more tournaments added to the calendar.
The Blaenau Gwent Junior and Cadet Open on Sunday 21st January 2010, which is a ranking tournament.
The second tournament is the Greenhouse Wales Community Tournament on Saturday 21st November, which is a non ranking tournament.
Newport Cadet Open - 6th December 2009
Entry form attached for those who can not access it.

Bridlington Cadet 4 *
Day 1.
Wales Boys [Lewis Williams & Lee Morgan] were very unfortunate to lose in the groups of the team event against a fired-up Westfield. Lewis won both his singles matches, but Lee lost in his events and they couldn’t combine for the doubles losing 2-3. The overall match score was 2-3 to Westfield and it was the longest match of the morning.

Wales victorious over the Bridge
It was a very warm welcome from the staff at Filton College, which included the head principal Kevin Hambel and the table tennis manager Kevin Satchell. There were over 100 vocal pupils from the home team supporting their fellow students throughout the match.
The weekend of the 27/28th September saw the first of two weekends of this season's Women's British League. The event, which was held in Bristol University, included 5 players from Wales.
