CHARLOTTE AT HER BEST - WINS IN ALSACE

SAINT LOUIS, FRANCE: (24 May) Charlotte Carey played some of her best Table Tennis ever today to win the cadet girls singles at the Alsace International Youth Tournament. Charlotte battled for two days against strong opposition from France, Germany and Luxembourg before she eventually reached the final and defeated top French player Malinde Bocquel 3-2. A great performance and a fantastic result for Welsh Table Tennis.

Lee Morgan, Laura Price, Nicole Hall, Ryan Oyler, Beth Roberts and Laura Edwards all travelled with Charlotte to Saint Louis to compete for Wales.

Laura Edwards was another Welsh player to have a particularly good tournament eventually finishing in sixth place. She played hard in every match and her control and speed impressed a number of foreign coaches

Lee Morgan, Laura Price, Nicole Hall, Ryan Oyler and Beth Roberts all won matches and all of them on occasions played at a high level showing real talent.

Categories for players - Born 1998 and later, Born in 1996 & 1997 and Born in 1994 & 1995.
There were 16 players in each category except the category for Boys Born 1998 and later, in this category there were 20 players.

There were 16 teams in the competition
