TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OF WALES THIRD ROUND REPORT
5th & 65th January 2008

SENIORS DIVISION 1.

Bridgend ‘A’, in beating Cardiff ‘A’, appear to have won the title barring 2 disastrous results in their remaining matches. With players taking part in British League both teams had to bring in reserve players with Bridgend’s Vytas Rybakas playing a major role in winning all his matches. Cardiff are assured of the runner up spot with the other 4 teams (Swansea A, Cardiff B & C and Eastern Valley still fighting to avoid relegation.

Neil Page currently heads the averages but could be overtaken if Stephen Gertsen & Neil Wright play in the last 2 matches.

SENIORS DIVISION 2.

TTK Greenhouse ‘A’ give themselves a good chance of winning the title when they beat previously unbeaten Newport 5 – 2 to lead the table on game difference. Once again the 4 remaining teams (Swansea B, Carmarthen, Bridgend B & North Gwent A) are all in a fight to avoid relegation.

Ray Goulding heads the averages but can still be overtaken by Tim Heaps.

SENIORS DIVISION 3.

Bridgend ‘C’ although losing their unbeaten record to Swansea ‘C’ 5 – 2 continue to head the table and should win the title by winning their remaining 2 matches with Swansea C finishing in 2nd. place
Sammy Sharif tops the averages with James Kelly in 2nd.place.

JUNIORS DIVISION 1.

Unbeaten Eastern Valley ‘A’ have won the title with 2 matches to go. Bridgend A & Swansea A are vying for 2nd.spot.
Patrick Thomas is unbeaten and tops the averages by a wide margin with Daniel O’Connell in second place.
JUNIORS DIVISION 2.

Swansea ‘C’ lead the table on game difference from Bridgend ‘B’ recording 3 good wins over their nearest challengers (Y Morfa, Bridgend B & Swansea B) in this very evenly matched division.

Sammy Sharif leads the averages but lost his unbeaten record to Scott Cundy who is in 2nd. place; Alex O’Connell is in third.

JUNIORS DIVISION 3.

Swansea D and Bridgend C are fighting out this division with Swansea having a slight advantage on game differance and the championship could well be decided in the last match when they play each other.

Lee Morgan remains unbeaten and tops the averages with Sean Lancey a close second.

JUNIORS DIVISION 4.

Ael y Bryn lead the table on a healthy game difference over TTK Greenhouse D but this title should be decided in the final match when they play each other.

Jaydn Jackson leads the averages with Sadie Edwards 2nd. & Ashley Perry 3rd.
