BRIBAR TABLE TENNIS

With the new season underway, there are 18 teams playing in 3 Senior divisions which is the same number as last season. There has been a decrease in the Veterans Teams by 2, which leaves 10 teams; as a result we are playing this as one division with all the teams playing each other once. However, there has been an increase in the Junior entries which has resulted in 4 divisions.

Travel City Sports Cardiff Open Satellite Grand Prix

2nd October, 2007

Many thanks to Mick Strode, for running a fine tournament in Cardiff. It was also a pleasure to see Alex and Val Murdoch venturing across the border on their annual pilgrimage.

We were very pleased to have two home grown winners in the Men’s and Women’s singles. Ryan Jenkins (WAL) after beating his brother Stephen (WAL) 4,5,6 in the semi-final met Gavin Rumgay (SCO) the Scottish No1 who beat Dave Barham (Ca) 13,-9,-7,7,6 in the other closely contested semi-final. Ryan went on to win 7,10,7 but the scores did not reflect the exciting final with Ryan’s local TTK Greenhouse players cheering his every point.
