David Owen And Natasha Rees Take Top Prizes At North Wales Junior Open
The North Wales Junior Open was held at Plas Coch in Wrexham on Saturday, and the two top Juniors in Wales, David Owen and Natasha Rees came out on top of the Junior Boys and Junior Girls respectively. In the Boys event Owen beat Ben Avery in the final, and in the Girls Rees beat Megan Phillips.
Natasha Rees was again the winner in the Cadet Girls beating Megan Phillips in the final. Adam Draper beat Daniel O'Connell in the final of the Cadet Boys.
The final of the U13 Boys was a very close competition between Sammy Sharif and Huw Jones. Sharif just edged it in the 5th game 12:10. The Cadet Girls had a Round Robin with Amy Palin topping the list.
The presentations of cheques for the Juniors and Cadets, and Trophies for the U13s, were made by Peter Higgins the Tournament Referee. More results can be found in the Results section in Competitions on the TTAW web page.
