In the bronze medal play off match Wales went down 0-3 to Nigeria.

Adam Robertson started against Nosiru and won the first 11-9 but eventually lost 1-3.

Ryan Jenkins took on Segun Toriola who is ranked over 100 places above him in the world and who was the gold medalist in the singles in the Games at Manchester 4 years ago.

Ryan displayed his best form of the competition in a cracking match .He made Toriola produce his very best form to beat Ryan 3-0 with each of the 3 games being close.

Brother Stephen was desperately unlucky to lose against Merotohun after having chances to win both the first 2 sets.

Although losing Wales went down with all guns blazing.

Their 4th place in the Commonwealth was well earned and was still a fantastic achievement although the boys were of course hugely disappointed to just miss out on a medal.

The singles commences tomorrow. Adam Robertson has been seeded 6 and as a consequence does not have to play in the group stages.
