In the U13 girls Victoria Brookes of Denbigh done very well to come 2nd in her group and progress to the last eight where she lost in a close 5 sets to Sophie Barlow.

Jac Jenkins lost to Nathan Butler in the last eight of the cadet band 1 in a thrilling encounter 12,9,-2,10.He also reached the last eight of the cadet open losing to Alex Ramsden in 5 close sets.He had a great win over the dangerous Kin Fung Chan 3-0 the round previous. Jac negotiated a very tough junior boys open group going through in 2nd place he had the number 5 seed David Thompson on the ropes at 10- 8 in the fifth set but just lost 14-12. He went out in the last 16 to Billy Forster in another close game.

World Champs Report - Paris

Charlotte Carey & Naomi Owen lost out in a close 4/3 thriller to Hong Kong pairing Guan & Ng in the last 64 of the women's doubles to end Welsh participation at the Games. Earlier in the day Naomi lost out to the talented HK player Doo 4/1 in the last 128. Charlotte, Dan, Megan and Conor are all fairly inexperienced but have pushed forward somewhat and played to a good level through these championships. Ryan, with his troubled back problems, made it as far as his ranking shows and lost to the higher ranked Slovenian, Lasan 0/4 after good wins in his previous 3 matches.

Good wins from All 4 youngsters show what Welsh table tennis is producing on a world stage.

TTW supports Evie

Welsh table tennis internationals Ryan and Stephen Jenkins are giving up their time to put on an exhibition at Penarth Leisure Centre on Thursday 23 May (7.30pm) to raise money for a little girl called Evie from Sully who has a medical condition requiring an expensive operation in the USA. The family has already raised thousands but much more is needed.
